My new puppy might be sick?
Hi, Yesterday i got a little golden retriever/ newfoundland/ mastiff/ rottweiler named Bear. He is 8 weeks, he was sick with tape worms but has been treated and it has cleared up, he is still on his medication just to be safe. He doesnt have any worms in his stool. anyway. whenever I pick him up and put a little pressure on his stomach area he makes weird gurgly, burby sounds. And he doesnt make them at all anytime else, only when i touch his belly. I am taking him to the vet in a few days for his vaccinations. but does anyone have any idea whats wrong with him? or if its serious, besides that he is quite healthy. Also, he was an outdoor puppy
he doesnt have any other symtoms hes perfectly healthy… just stomach noises
It is in your and the puppies best interest to have any new pet seen by a vet within 2-3 days of bringing it home.
If you are having concerns about the pup, I would suggest calling and taking him to the vet. If there is something wrong it is best to catch it as early as possible so that it can be treated for the best out come or if the results are bad you can take him back to the breeder as all states have puppy/dog lemon laws.
Honestly though if you ever have any concerns with your pet please call your vet first. They would be the best to advise you about what to do or if you should bring him in to be examined.
