my labrador retriever is on elimination diet for allergies, How long till I start seeing results?

I took my dog to the vet yesterday for a check up.
we thought she had seasonal allergies, but she’s had other symtoms to suggest otherwise.
so my vet put her on Hills Prescription diet samon and potato.
she loves the food.
How soon Should I see results?
This food has no corn, wheat, or anything like that in it.
she’s not licking or chewing at her legs, bottom or scratching as much she just started the food last night.

oh the vet said it can take up to 12 weeks. but I’m just curious I guess if anyone else has done this and ifthey saw results right away or the longer period of time went by?

My dog started was much less itchy after about two weeks, but it really took about 3 months to see his coat improving, and almost a year later his coat is better than I thought possible. Mind you, he was in very poor shape when I got him, with sores and hair loss from allergies. Keep in mind that any lapse from the non-allergen diet can start the itching off all over again, so be careful what you feed as treats. We had a few incidents of getting into the cat food, and he got itchy again every time. Read all the labels carefully if you buy dog treats. I just bought an excellent treat at Costco–it’s dried duck which should be fine for an allergic dog. Big bag, good price.
