Shelter dogs vs. pup from reputable breeder..?
I was set on getting a Rottweiler pup from a reputable breeder but today i went to the shelter and fell in love with two dogs from there, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix and a Siberian Husky/Collie mix. Now i am completely lost on what to do, Should i adopt one of these dogs from the shelter or get the pup from a reputable breeder? I know it’s my choice but i am having a VERY, VERY hard time choosing because i owned a Sibe, a Stafford, and a Rotti when i was younger until they passed away.. So please help me decide.. Please don’t tell me it’s my choice, i know it is. I just need some help deciding. I want a very active dog and the two from the shelter are extremely active. Rottweilers also fit into my lifestyle.. So please help me decide…
I actually adopted my four dogs from a shelter so my fifth was going to be from a reputable breeder but now i just don’t know…
I think there wouldn’t be a pet over population problem if all breeders were reputable. So go ahead and support those who do it right.
