do puppies get adopted quickly in animal shelters such as SPCA?

i fell in love with this stray black labrador retriever, I dont know how since im scared of dogs! but I still did. He ended up in spca since he accidentally got out of my house while I was at school. We found out that one of our naighbors had sent him to spca. My mom and me then went to check how much he’d cost since he was “lost” not really up for adoption yet. I had the puppy for one day and so we didnt have proof that he was techinically ours so the lady said that we coulnd get him out, wed had to wait till sunday so we could adopt him.He would cost $95 doesn’t sound like much but I knew my dad would get him. So know im all worried if he’d get adopted or not! I could beg my dad for him and everything but I dont want the to prevent the puppy from finding a proper home since in mine he wont have that much space. Still I would love to keep him but i just wanted to be assured that he’d find a home fast and woulnd’t have to “suffer” living in a small cage for long.

Probably 1 out of 20 Pups that come into Shelters get Adopted…Its alot Lower for Adult Dogs….The SPCA, County Shelters, Fancy Shelters They all have about the same Stats….So many Dogs coming in only so many Holding Pens..A Shelter is Definatly The Very Last Chance a Pet gets.Shelters Get in More Black Labs than any other Fullbred Dogs Conbined..Sorry to be so blunt but Its the Truth!! Hopefully With mas Coming He may get lucky!
