How can I tame my year old lab?
I love playing with my one year old Yellow Lab. The problem is, he gets too rough for me and starts pulling on the sleeve of my sweatshirt. I push him off of me but he keeps on jumping back and starts nipping at me. I stop playing with him once he gets too wild and wait for him to calm down but, he goes back into the habit when I start playing with him again. Anyway I can calm down his behavior so he can play nicely?
Just tell him NO! and hold his jaws shut just hrd enough to get the message but not hurt him when he does it and ignore him for a while. When he’s good re-enforce it with a small treat. My puppy learned this quickly and never has bitten me. Remember in dog years he’s a toddler and will act so – so give him time.
